WILL YOU TAKE A MINUTE TO HELP YOUR TOWN RECEIVE THOUSANDS OF NEW DOLLARS FROM THE STATE?
As you know, the town of Coopertown does not impose any property tax. One source of our revenue is from the State and is based on our population. Coopertown has grown since the last local census, taken in 2002, so we are conducting a special census to account for our residents. If we submit the Special Census results to the State in May 2010, we will receive increased funding in July 2010. The Federal census, which will begin soon, is a separate census. The town will not receive any funding based on the Federal census until July 2011. If you are unsure as to whether you are a resident of Coopertown (i.e., within Coopertown's city limits), please call City Hall and we will be glad assist you.
The only information Coopertown needs to collect from you is your address and first and last names of everyone living at your home, including children. Your information will be kept confidential.
Will you take a minute and share your names and address with us? Your participation will help us avoid the added cost of hiring local census workers to collect the data by going door-to-door. Simply select the "Special Census 2010" link below:
