MEETING MINUTES
MARCH 27, 2007
I. Call to Order: Mayor Danny Crosby
II. Pledge of Allegiance
III. Roll Call: Alisha Haggard conducted roll call. The following were present:

IV. Bank Balances: General Government: $210,311.89
State Street Aid: $65,868.19
Drug Fund: $5,548.98
Landfill/Legal Fund: $2,824.74
Hands Up to Coopertown: $2,907.75
V. The oral reading of the minutes of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen meeting for March 27, 2007 were waived.
VI. Reports from Committees, Communications from Aldermen: None tobe made.
VII. Old Business:
Resolution 2007-006: Continuing the SRO contract, discussed there will be an additional
8000.00 for the SRO salary to finish up the year. Motion was made by Vice-Mayor Gill, and seconded by
Alderman Muhlstadt. The vote was as follows:
Alderman Ruth: Yes

Alderman Anderson: Yes
Vice-Mayor Gill: Yes
VIII. Resolution 2007-009,010:Requesting AT&T to enter into Cable Franchise Negotiations, and The
Competitive Cable and Video Services Act. 2007-009 a motion was made by Alderman Ruth and
seconded by Vice-Mayor Donnie Gill.
The vote was as follows:

Alderman Anderson: Yes
Vice-Mayor Gill: Yes
Resolution 2007-014: Implementing the SRO GREAT Summer Games. Discussed finding businesses
to donate food for this event. Motion was made by Alderman Anderson and seconded by Vice-Mayor
Gill. The vote was as follows:
Alderman Ruth: Yes
Alderman Muhlstadt: Yes
Alderman Anderson: Yes
Vice-Mayor Gill: Yes
IX. New Business:
Discussed the Personnel Policy regarding Vacation, Sick and Comp time. More than one year, an
employee will receive five days vacation, and one day each additional year
worked. An employee shall also receive 96 hours of sick time each year worked. If an
employee takes sick time, they must take the whole day.
Resolution 2007-012: Purchasing two Crown Victoria's for the Police Department.
Motion was made by Vice-Mayor Gill and seconded by Alderman Anderson. The vote
was as follows:
Alderman Ruth: No
Alderman Muhlstadt: Yes
Alderman Anderson: Yes
Vice-Mayor Gill: Yes
Mayor discussed the drawings from the Tennessee Dept. of Transportation regarding
the safety issues that are involved at Interstate 24.
Mayor discussed that the planning commission was looking to hiring a city engineer, to
help with the processes of subdivisions, etc., and to make sure they are properly
inspected.
Resolution 2007-013: $10,000 donation to the Robertson County Animal Control.
Aldermen wanting to wait and see if other cities will participate in this project. No
motion was made.
Mayor discussed building a security fence as an impound lot. It will be less expensive if
the city provides the labor. Chief stated this security fence will bring in revenue, as the
Coopertown Police Department tows around 20 cars a month.
Mayor discussed donating all unused cell phones to the Springfield shelter for battered
women as 911 only cell usage.
